WINTER 2006 UPDATE:

HARK!

It's been a long, cold and stupid haul this winter, but Alec K Redfearn The Eyesores are coming out hibernation soon. The new CD which will be entitled "The Smother Party" will be out on North East Indie this spring and the limited addition vinyl will be out on Corleone Records in the late spring. There will be an Alec K. Redfearn solo tour of the West Coast in late March/Early april and an Eyesores European tour in late April and into May. The Eyesores will probably also tour the Northeast in June, but I am awaiting details.
Sad news is that my longtime friend and collaborator Margie "Fern Knight" Weink will be moving away to Philly and will only be involved with the band on a part time basis. We love her will miss her delicious desserts and sailor-talk terribly.
I am at work in the studio recording my song cycle "I am the Resurrection and the Light" with the mighty Rob Pemberton engineering. We are slowly working our way through the overdubs and should be done some time this spring as we are aiming for a fall release of this material on Cuneiform Records
Laura Colella is directing a short experimental film to accompany "I Am The Resurrection and The Light." More details on this later.
In the meantime, it's cold and I am broke and my car is bleeding to death in an Olneyville parking lot. I spend my days bathed in the greenish glow of bad television and worse internet, subsisting on a diet of mostly coffee, sugar and vitamins. To reflect this zombie-like state, I am writing a series of songs for the band that will be a bit prettier and a bit quieter but with a undercurrent of menace and perversion.
